CUSTOM LIGHT BOX FABRICATION
Custom LED Light Box Signs
RUIGONGSIGN builds project-specific LED light boxes for sign companies and commercial project teams. Cabinet depth, face construction, access method, mounting and electrical requirements are reviewed together so the delivered assembly fits the intended site.

A light box should be designed around where it will be mounted and how it will be serviced. Overall size, allowed projection, wall structure, viewing distance, access direction and local weather exposure determine the cabinet approach. A thin cabinet may look attractive on a drawing but can create lighting, heat and maintenance problems if the face and LED layout are not considered together.
For projecting or suspended signs, the attachment structure and wind exposure need separate engineering review by the responsible project team. RUIGONGSIGN can fabricate to an approved structure drawing but does not replace local structural approval or site verification.
Face and Graphic Systems
Rigid acrylic faces suit many compact cabinets and routed designs. Flexible faces can reduce face weight on larger formats, but tensioning and replacement access must be planned. Routed aluminum with acrylic push-through or backed graphics can create a more architectural daytime appearance.
The face specification should define color, translucency, printed graphic method, visible fasteners and replacement expectations. For chain programs, a controlled artwork file and approved sample help keep different production batches visually consistent.

Cabinet Depth and Illumination
Lighting uniformity depends on cabinet depth, module spacing, face transmission and internal reflectance. The LED count should follow a layout review rather than a generic modules-per-square-meter assumption. Corners, narrow returns and dark graphic areas need particular attention.
RUIGONGSIGN can document a powered test before packing. The test confirms function and visible uniformity under workshop conditions; final brightness can still be affected by ambient site lighting, supply voltage and the installed face.
Outdoor Durability and Drainage
Outdoor cabinets require a defined water-management approach. Seams, face retainers, cable entries, drain paths and service openings must work together. Completely sealing a cabinet without considering condensation can create a different failure mode, so the intended enclosure strategy should be documented.
- State whether the sign is sheltered, fully exposed, coastal or in a wash-down area.
- Confirm cable-entry direction and the location of power equipment.
- Keep drain paths clear after the sign is mounted.
- Use compatible fasteners and finishes for the specified environment.
Service Access and Replacement Planning
The buyer should decide how the face, drivers and LED modules will be reached after installation. A cabinet mounted close to a ceiling or between architectural panels may need front access. A projecting sign may need a hinged or removable face that can be safely handled from the service position.
For repeat programs, spare faces, LED records and part labels can reduce future maintenance time. The packing list should distinguish graphics, hardware and electrical parts so the installer can verify the shipment before traveling to site.
Quality Control and Export Packing
Checks typically cover overall dimensions, squareness, finish, face fit, access operation, mounting locations and powered illumination. For removable faces, the fit is checked before protective film and packing are applied.
Faces and finished cabinet surfaces are protected from direct hardware contact. Mounting parts are bagged and identified. Projecting brackets, fragile faces and long cabinets may need separate supports or reinforced packaging based on shipment method.

BUYER QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
What determines the minimum light box depth?
Face material, graphic density, LED optical pattern, required uniformity, service access and cabinet size all matter. RUIGONGSIGN confirms depth after reviewing the complete section.
Can the graphic face be changed after installation?
Yes, if the cabinet is designed with a removable rigid face, hinged access or a tension-fabric system. The service method must be selected before fabrication.
Can you make projecting light boxes?
RUIGONGSIGN can fabricate projecting cabinet assemblies to approved drawings. Attachment and wind-load requirements remain subject to the project engineer and local authority.
How do you check illumination?
A powered workshop test can document LED function and visible uniformity before packing. The acceptance method should be agreed before production.
What information is required for pricing?
Provide overall dimensions, cabinet depth if fixed, face type, graphic file, quantity, mounting method, exposure, voltage, destination and required date.
